Kevin Armour - Principal

Kevin Armour has been at Daniel Boone since 2008 and first started working in the Francis Howell School District in 1997. He worked as the Assistant Principal at John Weldon Elementary for four years before joining the Daniel Boone leadership team.

He earned his Ed. D. in Educational Administration from Missouri Baptist University, a master’s degree in educational administration from Lindenwood University, and a bachelor’s degree in Science in Education from Southwest Missouri State University. He taught for seven years in FHSD and Pattonville prior to moving into an assistant principal role in the Wright City School District.

Kevin has a wife and four children. His wife works as a school nurse. Kevin enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting and hiking with family.

Cathy VerBerkmoes - Assistant Principal

Cathy VerBerkmoes works as an assistant principal at Daniel Boone Elementary. VerBerkmoes will assist the administrative team at Daniel Boone to ensure school safety and student success, and help deliver professional leadership to organize, administer and provide support for a creative and high-quality school program.

“I am very excited to be joining the Francis Howell School District and Daniel Boone Elementary students, staff, and families this school year,” VerBerkmoes said. “I want to support excellent teachers and positive outcomes for all students through building leadership.”

VerBerkmoes has 11 years of teaching experience serving in the Tarkio R-1 School District, the California R-1 School District, and most recently in the Ferguson-Florissant School District. She was part of the building Instructional Leadership Team, the district Trauma Informed Leadership Team, and a model classroom teacher for the district.

VerBerkmoes received an Education Specialist certificate from University of Missouri Columbia with an emphasis on Central Office/Superintendent Endorsement, and a master’s degree in Education Leadership and Policy Analysis from Northwest Missouri State University.
